Quinzone is an (Excellence in Cities) Education Action Zone based in Quinton.
The Zone was established in January 2001 and is the result of a partnership between 7 Junior / Infant Schools, 1 High School and 1 Special Needs School.

This will be a UK On-line centre when fully open in September 2002, with full access to Net Bourn Virtual College.

This centre has undergone significant refurbishment. The old Craft area shown here has been transformed into a modern technology facility.

The centre will:

Help children in each of the 9 schools to improve their SATs and GCSE results.

Help the teachers in the schools  improve the quality of the teaching.

Help develop educational facilities for local communities.

The craft area transformed!

Quinzone's first family Learning Centre is being housed in an old craft engineering block on the Four Dwellings site.  The ICT suite will be housed here alongside the Art Gallery; Craft Training Academy; Horticulture Training Base; A Police / Youth Work project and 2 brickwork rooms. The Zone, to date, has raised nearly £200,000 towards the £325,000 required.

The ICT suite opened on September 30th 2002
